Help >> Geometry correction in the drawing

When the geometry correction mode is enabled, you can change the geometry of objects in the active exchange file. For this, the following drawing tools are used

"Move segments linearly" - shifts all objects of the loaded exchange file. Select the first point - it will be considered the base point. Select the second point on the diagram - the point to which you want to move the base point.
Tip: sometimes it is necessary to move a section so that its point coincides with the point of a section from another exchange file. For an exact match, the snapping function is used - when you press the middle mouse button (or press the right and left buttons simultaneously), the mouse cursor is set to the point of the nearest object, pressing again - to the point of the next close object, etc. until all nearby objects have been iterated. It is easy to make sure that the binding has been carried out - by the presence of a large cross at the anchor point and the highlighted element to which you are attached. Thus, for our task, we need to select the "Move parcels linearly" tool, snap to a point on the parcel of the layer being moved, click the left mouse button, snap to the point of the object with which you want to match the origin point, click the left mouse button. Ready. And remember, the snap function works for all map tools.

"Rotate sections" - rotates all objects of the exchange file around the selected point. The action requires three points: the first is the center of rotation, the second is the starting point for the rotation angle, the third is the end point for the rotation angle.

"Add point" - adds a point to the layer. The point name is generated automatically. Accuracy of point coordinates (number of decimal places) is taken from the settings of the exchange file - (for coordinate accuracy, see Exchange file tab - "View as exchange file in format")

"Insert point into parcel edge" - adds a point, inserting it into the parcel edge

"Move point" - allows you to move the point of the exchange file. There are two modes of this operation. The first is free movement. The second one is moving in small steps (now the step is 1 cm). In this case, all information on the marked object in the list is dynamically changed (see Information panel, list of objects of the exchange file)

"Add parcel edge" - connects two existing points with an edge. If this edge creates a closed contour or divides the outer boundary into several parts, new parcels/adjacencies are created. Parcels are created with the same number as the one from which they are cut off
